Introducing Hanne Fredriksson

Name: Hanne Fredriksson

What is your job description? :
I work as a project engineer in the design department for water treatment equipment. My job includes designing various water treatment systems alongside sales tasks.

How long have you been in this profession? How long have you worked for StrongFlow? :
I started working in the water treatment field in 2020. I have previous work experience in municipal wastewater treatment and as a consultant. I began working at StrongFlow at the beginning of this year, looking forward to new challenges! 😊

What are your strengths? :
I am genuinely interested in my work and the water sector in general, which keeps my motivation high. I have adapted well to the StrongFlow work community and often leave work with a smile, recalling the conversations I had with colleagues during the day. I enjoy coming to the office for a workday, even though remote work is possible – I believe this says something about the office’s group dynamics. 😏

What is best in your work? :
Project-based work suits me particularly well because I enjoy varied tasks. This way, the workweeks are better structured, and I don’t get bored with a specific project. The best part of my job is working with water technology. Water is an important element to me, and applying different techniques, for example, to remove certain contaminants, is fascinating. Working with different clients broadens my expertise and offers a vantage point to many different sectors.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do on your free time? :
A year ago, I got into the world of so-called social dancing, and now I dance almost weekly and volunteer at social dance events. Besides dancing, I go to the gym, and in the evenings, you can often find me watching either Nordic noir series or old war documentaries.

What was your childhood dream job? :
In elementary school, I became interested in natural sciences, especially environmental studies. In middle and high school, biology and geography classes sparked a small world-changer’s passion in me, and I began to dream of becoming a biology and geography teacher.

Fun fact :
Last summer, during an interrail trip, I ended up in France’s “Little Venice,” the town of Annecy near the French Alps. On a whim, I decided to try paragliding. Soon, I was running off a cliff with a parachute on my back. The plan was to glide for about 10 minutes, but the wind conditions were such that I didn’t land until 50 minutes later. Although I am generally very cautious and plan things carefully, it seems I can also take a leap into the unknown – quite literally.
